Resources

Inspiring Science Education provides teachers and students with lessons and education scenarios that can be used in the science classroom. Through the Inspiring Science portal you can design, develop and deliver your own lessons and educational scenarios or share resources with other ISE schools. The Big Ideas of Science are at the heart of the Inspiring Science Education's repository of eLearning tools and resources.

Our repository includes interactive and game-based applications as well as online and remote labs. Our resources include templates, scenarios, methodologies and guidelines to support science teachers and teacher trainers in their drive to make science teaching more exciting, fun and innovative for students including those with special needs. Teachers can use the ISE Authoring Tool to design their lessons and educational scenarios following the inquiry based learning approach (IBL). They are able to develop and include assessment tasks for students' problem solving competencies based on the PISA 2012 problem solving framework. The ISE Delivery Tool enables the delivery of lessons and educational scenarios to teachers and students. This delivery tool has been developed to take into account the demands of different devices such as desktops and tablets as well as the usage of assistive tools to support students with disabilities.

Choose from virtual or remote labs; games; analysis, virtual reality or augmented reality tools ' use an E-Learning tool today and create your own lesson or learning scenario!

E-Learning Tools

In Europe, there are already many different scientific resources that you can access from your own classroom. In our Tool repository you can find out how to access scientific resources like remote robotic telescopes that you can use in real time as well as guides on performing virtual experimentation using advanced remote services and tools.

Teaching Scenarios and Lesson Plans

All the lessons and education scenarios and plans available in the Inspiring Science Portal have been created and validated by European science teachers active in teaching STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) and are suitable for different levels and curriculum settings. Teachers have the option to use and adapt these lessons or educational scenarios or create their own.

Inquiry Learning and Assessment

Lessons and educational scenarios are designed, in the different phases of IBL, to include tasks to assess students' problem solving competencies.
